Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is scheduled to be released on June 19, 2012 in the United States. The date for its release in the United Kingdom has not yet been announced by the publisher Warner Bros. Interactive.

Zombie hunter Juliet Starling

Zombies in action

Lollipop Chainsaw is the story of Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader who is also a zombie
hunter. It is all about her search for the cause of a huge zombie outbreak that happens on her campus as she is celebrating her eighteenth birthday.

She realizes the need for her to save her friends and others from the apocalypse. She slices her way through the zombie crowds only to know that she would be seeing more of the zombie rock lords who are waiting to kill her.

During the zombie encounters, Zed the rock zombie hurls a whole lot of abuses at her with his microphone and after attacking her with the obscenities, runs and hides on top of his amplifier. Juliet splits him in half with her chainsaw and destroys him. She brings all the zombies together in an enclosure by her cheerleader moves and then slices and dices them all with her chainsaw. After witnessing so much bloodshed, one little consolation may be that when the zombies are finished, they turn into pink hearts, rainbows and stars.

The Starling Sisters

The eldest of the three starling sisters who are all zombie hunters is Cordelia who always carries her sniper rifle that helps destroy zombies from afar. The youngest, Rosalind, only 16, also slays zombies with ease. Juliet of course is the heroine of the story and proves her caliber in zombie hunting.

Obscenities galore

A recent demo of the game has evoked mixed feelings partly due to the high degree of violence and bloodshed. Vulgarity is profanely displayed in the game. The Entertainment Software Rating Board has announced their rating summary for Lollipop Chainsaw. Abusive language, scantily-clad girls, sex jokes, dismemberment and excessive blood splash aside, some more reasons for the mature rating have been detailed here.

Slated for an April 24 release in North America and an April 27 release in the UK, Prototype 2 is expected to have a huge fan following. Activision and Radical Entertainment have made great improvements to the original game Prototype.

Activision has released a trailer video highlighting 11 reasons for playing this game. GamesRadar pointed out in its latest preview – “Prototype 2’s hypocritical protagonist almost gets in the way of our bloody, murderous fun”.

The story is all about the display of wrath and vengeance by Sgt James Heller in his attempt to avenge his beloved family’s murder by the original game’s protagonist, Alex Mercer.

“Alex Mercer, the strongest being in the New York Zero is a living legend. With his primary foes consumed or destroyed, Alex Mercer took up residence in NYZ's Red Zone.

Sometime later, Mercer comes across a troop of soldiers entering the heart of the infected zone, with all but one man in the unit killed in this assault. Mercer watches as the mortally injured man tries to take as many infected with him as possible, and spotted him atop the building he stood on, and gave chase.

In the confrontation between the two, Mercer is impressed by Heller's grit and implausible survival of this slaughter. He decides that Heller would serve as a perfect "lieutenant" in his plot to spread the virus beyond NYZ, and infects the dying man with the virus, thus making Heller "his" Prototype. Although Mercer believes he will be of good use later he did not expect Heller to be as powerful as him and actually fight back”.

In Prototype 2, you play as Heller and use your powers to create chaos and destruction wherever you go.Heller’s body that is infected with the virus has powerful tendrils that smashes cars, beasts and anything that comes his way and tears them to pieces.

As the game progresses, you find Heller gaining more powers to attack and also to change his form the way he desires. Leaping from high buildings and running up walls are the features that continue from the original game.

The venue of the game is New York Zero with giant beasts strolling the streets and the military trying to control the area. This is an open-world game that has three zones namely green, yellow and red each offering different types of hurdles and enemies.

Test Drive: Ferrari Racing legends

Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends is getting ready for a 2012 spring release on PS3 platform. Slightly Mad Studios is the developer (who also made Need For Speed, Shift and Shift2: Unleashed) of this game. The two earlier games of the series, Test Drive Unlimited and Unlimited 2 were developed by Eden Games.  This will be the twentieth video game in the Test Drive series. Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends is published by Atari, Rombax Games and Big Ben Interactive.

According to a press release, the game will feature an amazing selection of 50 racing and street cars on 36 different tracks both modern and classic from around the world. Nevertheless, it’s expected that all the vehicles will have detailed exteriors and interiors and damaging effects too that is a big surprise.

But from the video we come to know that 458 Italia, the F430, the F40, the FXX and the Magnum P.I. special 308 GTS have been included though we have to wait for a while to see what other Ferrari models are added to the game.

Birds of Steel, a combat simulator game for PS3, has been announced by Konami, the Japanese game publisher and developer. The game, likely to be released by the end of March, 2012, is an attempt at blending the first-person shooter action with the flight simulator combat.

Gaijin claims that all the locations that you visit in the game are exact copies of the WWII territories. This has been made possible thanks to satellite photography. The historical missions are also authentic and this has been aided by maps that were used by commanders of the WWII participating countries. We have to wait till the game is released to see if the players feel transported to the WWII locations.

Are you familiar with IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey? This is one game that maintains its reputation of being the best flight game to date. It is said that Birds of Steel is similar to Birds of Prey in most aspects.

General Manager at Konami, Martin Schneider, says "For far too long, first-person shooter fans have been tied to the foot soldier point of view, but Birds of Steel aims to bring "the seat-of-their-pants skill and daring of dogfighting and aerial combat to a wider audience."
